Charlie Brown's World

Hello world, my name is Charlie Brown. I am a freshman in college. I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I lived in Oregon for a bit, and in my opinion, nothing compares to Vegas life in both good and bad ways; however, the excitement of seeing the Vegas lights is so unique it’s hard to find anything that compares. During my free time I like to go to the gym and spend time with my family. I have a baby on the way, which I am super excited for, so a lot of the things that I do are for my baby.

My first impression of IS101 has been fairly good, although it's quick to fall behind on work. The assignments are fairly easy as long as you follow along with the text provided. As for the class itself, I find it easygoing. The professor does a good job with making sure that everyone is on the same page. As for CSN as a whole, this is my first semester in person, and I would say that being able to stay in communication with the professor is 100% a confidence booster that succeeding in this class is achievable.

My experience with the skill that I chose in D2 part 2 is almost on a daily basis. Whether you realize it or not, almost everything has basic commands, such as the most common one I find myself using, (^) for power of, and that's one I use predominantly on my phone, but on my personal computer, the list of shortcuts almost seems endless, but the most commonly used one that I think everyone has used before is the copy and paste command. It’s a very simple one that they teach you even in elementary school, and it’ll always stick with you.

  1. Charlie Brown the Peanuts character or Charlie Brown the WWII bomber pilot?

Joking aside, I am glad to hear communication with me is 100% a confidence booster!

I am very pleased to see you choose 0.7 Keyboard Shortcuts as your skill to spotlight on your blog post :-)

    Welcome to IS101-3210, Fall 2025 ^_^

  2. Hey Charlie,

Las Vegas does have some appealing, diverse scenery, and it's one of the things I love about this place. Congratulations on your new arrival! IS101 was initially overwhelming for me, but once I understood the professor's intention and expectations, things became easier. Keyboard shortcuts are one of the lessons I enjoyed the most throughout this semester. It has made using a computer easier to navigate, especially when writing essays in Microsoft Word. It was nice meeting you, Charlie!

  6. Hello Charlie, interesting you have a preference for Las Vegas. I personally do not have a positive opinion of Las Vegas. Although, I do not really know where I would want to move to. Possibly Seattle, Washington. I would not want to move to a rural area as I have already lived there for 75% of my life. Never again.

  7. Hello, Charlie. Orgeon seems very different from Las Vegas since it's so green. I agree that the Vegas lights are impressive.

  10. Hey Charlie,
I agree, I have visited many places and nothing really hits like Vegas. I really appreciate Vegas when places close at 8pm, like are people not hungry past that time elsewhere?
